Jimmy El Homsy (b. 1980) is a Lebanese artist based in France whose work navigates the human condition through a surreal transformation of the body. His practice challenges traditional representations of masculinity, revealing vulnerability, emotional tension, and psychological depth.
Working across painting and digital media, Jimmy creates expressive, color-driven compositions where faceless or altered figures move between dream and reality. His ongoing series “Comme un Ballon” uses the balloon as a metaphor for life’s fragility, pressure, and elevation, positioning the surreal as a tool to expose emotional truth rather than escape reality.
His work is not conceived as decoration but as confrontation — an invitation for viewers to engage in an intimate and sometimes unsettling dialogue with themselves.
