Lilla Varhelyi

I am a Hungarian musician and painter. Live and work in Germany. In addition to the violin, there is the ink painting that can excite me passionately. Whether monochrome or colored, drawn with pen or brush, I sit at the drawing table every evening. I also paint with resin oil paints using different techniques such as wet on wet or layering, which I like to mix as needed. Nature, animals and people are my motives. Again and again I address the relationships between humans and animals, which I try to capture in my drawings.

I started drawing in 2000. After years of intensive self-study with hundreds of sketches, nude studies and drawings, I started oil painting a few years later. I paint my oil paintings in the old master layer technique. But my focus is on ink drawing.

Several exhibitions in Germany and online presentation since 2010
