Teodora Djordjevic /Teodora Đorđević/ is an academic painter born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1969, where she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts - Department of Painting at the University of Arts in 1993. The beginning of her art education begun at the School of Design in Belgrade in Department of Graphic Design which also included painting and photography.
In final year of her studies in 1993, she was awarded the prize of the Foundation of Miodrag Janjušević MSc - academic painter, and was included in the selection of Perspectives XXI, that presents young promising artists to the public.
In addition to several group exhibitions, she exhibited independently in the Paleta Gallery of the Cultural Center of Belgrade in 1994 and in the Andrićev Venac Gallery of the Yugoslav Art Gallery in 1995 in Belgrade.
Teodora finds inspiration from diversity of the ambiences she explores, from architecture, wide open space full of light and life, to abandoned dystopian places with hardly visible traces of the former human presence. Also, she finds excitement in the juxtaposition of the infinite spaces of the sky and the invisible micro worlds, at the border of matter and energy, inner and outer space.
