Tim Andrews is an award winning Artist, highly commended by the Koestler Trust as a visual artist, winning his Koestler Award by putting writing on walls in 2015 after being fitted up by members of the Metropolitan Police also working for an international fraudster who had offered $100,000 for Tim's arrest and imprisonment.
As a teenager in the late 1980's Tim was influenced by the emergence of the early Hip-hop scene in California and the electro music originating from Chicago's Warehouse nightclub.
With many record covers and music videos featuring the artistic styles of the writers from New York who developed the art form commonly called Graffiti by the public Tim began to emulate the lettering styles he saw on the sleeves of the records in the "import" section of the HMV on Oxford Street which then latter developed into his calligraphic style.
Initially Tim and his school friends started to acquire the materials for their art pieces and writing from the technical school they went to.
Ordinary paint could easily be obtained from the Art Department because Mrs Kollenburger seemed to be a bit stoned and did not really pay much attention to what was going on, unless a fight broke out in her class.
