Alfonso Beleño

Beleño Alfonso Contreras (1981, Bogotá Colombia) 2007 Master of Fine Arts, University of Los Andes Bogotá. For a decade, he has participated in various group exhibitions, competitions and has taught at various institutions such as the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota. In his creative process has used a broad concept of painting and drawing, experimenting with different media through exercises and assignments in which the technique is involved in the concept, posing local and universal reflections, allegorical on the urban landscape , the iconographic images and issues related to the social, political and human condition.

In 2011, won the Audience Award at the Sixth Young Art Salon, Club El Nogal and in 2006 an Honorable Mention in the National Exhibition of Art V Diversity, Square House Gallery. In 2003 he held his first solo exhibition in the University of the Andes, entitled, Payments and Collections System. Among his most notable Collective exhibitions are, Citi - exhibitions 200, Citibank Colombia SA, Colombians Young Artists Foundation. In 2007, Fernando Botero Award at the “Claustro la enseñanza”, Colombians Young Artists Foundation, the Second International Fair ArtBo, Corferias Square House Gallery , The Sixth Young Art Fair 2011, The Nogal Club, with his " patient ", The Art Young salon Seventh at the The Nogal club 2013, The Sixth Bidimentional art salon organized by the Foundation Gilberto Alzate 2013.
