Born in Leeds in March 1955, some years later attend Jacob Kramer College of Art. Moved first to Edinburgh and then to London.
After a sojourn across Europe searching out every Picasso museum known to man ending up on Crete. Here he made lino-cuts of local scenes and sold them around the tavernas at night. On returning to London. He was employed as a designer on The Times after seven years he took redundancy to take an MA in Fine Art Printmaking at The Cambridge School of Art.
