Hala Abbas

Hala Abbas is a multidisciplinary artist based in London UK. Her work explores themes of descent, return and the reconstruction of self. Drawing on figurative imagery, symbolic abstraction and material experimentation, her practice examines inner states, emotional thresholds and the moments where identity is unmade and re-woven.

Working across painting, sculpture and mixed media, she uses earthy palettes, raw textures and devotional gestures to create works that feel both intimate and archetypal. Her background in fine art printmaking informs a sensitivity to surface layering and mark-making, while her wider research draws on myth, psychology, esotericism and lived experience.

Her work invites slow looking and quiet recognition, offering visual spaces for reflection, emotional safety and return to self.
