Mic Linder

Mic Linder (b. 1988) is a painter and sculptor who translates the improvisational spirit of his graffiti background into structured abstraction. Originally a painter of comic-inspired figures in urban environments, Linder used collage to reduce his subjects into the essential gestures and geometric forms seen in his work today.

His practice explores the tension between "the known" and "the remembered." By applying the principles of figurative composition to abstract surfaces, Linder creates an architectural display that feels strangely familiar. His works exist in a state of almost-recognition, shifting between the silly and the monumental. The experience is like a half-forgotten memory, inviting the viewer to look closer for an answer that feels just seconds away.
