"Born in Liverpool in the 1900's , brought up in the city centre in china town. My artistic background started at an early stage doodling Donald Duck onto the chip shop paper. Comics and cartoons both British, Chinese and Japanese have become major themes in my work. My field is mainly in original silkscreen prints with the studio situated in East London. Being brought up in a Chinese family in a western context has formed my questions about mixing cultures that blurs boundaries and questions the idea of origins in modern society. It is this mixing of cultures that inspires me and seeing how different cultures has informed art around the world , breaking the traditional mould. The city has become my playground to question socio-political issues as the urban environment is a concentrated form that has many layers to discover…"
