Eduardo Casal

Eduardo Casal is a self-taught impressionist painter born in Barciademera, Covelo, a small rural community in Galicia, Spain.

At a young age, the abundant surrounding nature captured his senses and inspired him to translate what he sensed into his brush stroke.

Casal has travelled and lived in Latin America, where he explored the colour shading American cultures had to offer, mastering contrasts and colourings. He is known for his stunning landscapes and vivid depictions of the traditional Galician environments. Inspired by Trevor Chamberlain and Galicia's beauty Casal's paintings are characterized by their celebration of light, atmosphere, and lose brushstrokes, which capture the mood and movement of the scenery.

Despite living in a remote rural area in Galicia, Casal's work has gained recognition in art and can be found in galleries and private collections around the country.
