Born in 1996 in Quetta, Adnan Ali Umrani hails from Naushehro Feroze, Sindh. He earned his Master's degree in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts (NCA) Lahore in 2022 followed by a bachelor's degree from the University College of Arts and Design, Islamia University, Bahawalpur, in 2020. Due to his father's profession, Adnan moved across various cities in Pakistan, frequently visiting railway stations, which inspired his artistic journey. Specializing in graphite and charcoal on paper, Adnan captures the ephemerality of time. He debuted in the art scene with the group exhibition "Broadcast II" at O Art Space Gallery, Lahore, in 2021, followed by the "Emerging Talent, 2022" (ET17) exhibition at VM Art Gallery, Karachi and participated in several other exhibitions. In July 2023, Adnan received a scholarship for the MA Course from The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, London. Adnan is currently serving as a visiting lecturer at the National College of Arts (NCA), Rawalpindi.
