I make art to reconcile the turbulence of my environment with its inherent beauty; Embracing the mundane to create the sublime. My compositions are a collision of the organic and the manufactured, my marks often reference my history as a lettering artist and graphic designer. I use high flow acrylics and paint with a sense of urgency from which my paintings derive their energy. Color is often defined by time and gravity, evidence of the fragile and fleeting nature of life.
I received my B.F.A. in Visual Communication from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
