✨ About the Artist:

Liebner-Anthony is a South African contemporary artist known for his emotionally charged figurative drawings and minimalist abstract paintings. His work often explores quiet tension, introspective stillness, and the fragmented beauty found in everyday human gestures.

Raised with a deep connection to line, form, and emotional resonance, Liebner-Anthony has been making art since childhood. Over two decades of creative discipline and international exhibition experience have shaped his signature approach — combining expressionist mark-making with soft geometry and muted tonal palettes.

Driven by a lifelong passion for storytelling through visual form, his studio practice embraces both raw graphite sketching and oil-based abstraction. Each artwork reflects a moment of stillness, a whispered emotion, or a captured movement in time.

“I’ve always been fascinated by what’s unspoken,” Liebner-Anthony says. “That pause before a thought becomes action, or the tenderness in a figure’s stance — those are the stories I try to translate.”
