Larry Goode is an artist known for thoughtful collages and drawings that explore humor, whimsy, and melancholy. Using found objects, antique paper, and paint, Goode creates scenes that clamor for touch, examination, and thought. “I try to instill in my work an ingenuous sense of wonder and curiosity, yet retain a sense of reflection and space. If I can achieve this, then I consider my work a success,” he says. Goode’s work has been included in the HBO series, The Leftovers, and displayed at the Austin–Bergstrom International Airport. Goode currently lives and works in Austin, Texas.
