Myung Hee Lee

My passion for painting dates back to my childhood and adolescence in South Korea, which had a definite influence on my style: the wind in the rice paddies, the changing colors of the mountains... After studying in the United States and a long period as an expatriate in various countries, I picked up my brush again after moving to the Paris region in 2009.
I paint landscapes, people and cultures, taking a benevolent, poetic look at the world and nature around us, from the bark of a tree to the forest. My paintings are imbued with gentleness and sometimes with the tender melancholy of a lost childhood, offering a moment of calm and serenity.
