NRUNSER is a multidisciplinary artist based in Vancouver whose lifelong passion for painting has continuously guided her creative path. At eighteen, her work was selected for a curated exhibition at the Mendel Art Gallery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. An early milestone that affirmed her commitment to becoming a full-time artist. She moved to Vancouver at twenty-one and, by twenty-five, had earned diplomas from Blanche Macdonald Centre for Global Makeup and Capilano University in Media and Motion Picture Arts. For over a decade, NRUNSER worked as a special effects (SPFX) makeup artist in the film industry, both on set and in a special effects studio. During this time, she developed advanced skills in lifecasting, sculpting, molding, and airbrushing prosthetic makeup effects for commercials, TV shows, and movies. While this career offered creative and financial stability, her deepest artistic fulfillment has always stemmed from painting. Her work was later selected to be featured on silk screened street banners displayed along Main Street in Vancouver, B.C. The Vancouver Courier showcased her on the front page and published a feature article highlighting her artistic journey and work. To support the growth of her painting business and further her creative pursuits, NRUNSER earned a diploma in Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Langara College. She trained in Meisner acting as a way to deepen her artistic voice and further develop her creative expression. Continuing to evolve as an artist, NRUNSER returned to Langara College to take a Mixed Media and Collage course. This was followed by deepening her artistic practice at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she studied The Built Surface: Paint and Collage, Painting Fundamentals for the Composition Process, and Form Concepts in Contemporary Painting. For fifteen years, NRUNSER ran a business in downtown Vancouver, B.C., where her paintings attracted an international clientele. What began as displaying her artwork within her business space gradually evolved into a solo gallery, where she showcased and successfully sold many of her original paintings. Currently, NRUNSER is focused on building a sustainable, full-time art practice and reaching new audiences both locally and globally. She creates art with the intention of creating a strong emotional response of inner joy and offering a sense of comfort and resonance in the spaces where her work is displayed.
