Began Deari

Began Deari (1985) is a visual artist from Tetovo, graduated from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Tetova with a focus in painting. His artistic practice moves between figuration and abstraction, where the human figure often appears transformed, dispersed, or reconstructed through textured layers and atmospheric tones.

Deari’s work explores identity, memory, and emotional transition, creating visual spaces where the material and the spiritual intertwine. His formal approach combines free brushstrokes, vibrant colors, and open compositions that evoke a sense of continuous movement and evolution.

He has exhibited both individually and collectively in Tetovo, Skopje, Prishtina, Strumica, and Paris. His residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in 2018 marked an important stage in the development of his creative voice. His work has been shown in galleries, cultural centers, and numerous annual exhibitions, establishing him as one of the notable contemporary painting voices in the region.
