Binna Kim have always been a part of different forms of arts. From drawing manga comics, as a food stylist to a professional floral designer, her path has been quite interesting.
She was born in Busan, the second biggest city in South Korea, which is very close to the sea. She enjoyed to draw, paint and create something with different materials from a very young age. What she especially loved was to make decalcomania with watercolors, create objects with clay and paint them, and just simply use crayons to have fun. As much as she loved art, she was quite fond of going to small mountains or the sea shore to enjoy seeing all the elements such as rocks, trees, flowers and water.
She got into drawing manga comics in her teenage years. After a while, she chose a quite different path, which was food styling and flower designing. The floral design industry caught her interest more than food styling and since then, she has been a floral designer in Korea and here in NYC.
After she came to NYC, she discovered a job that made her heart beat, which was store window decorating using flowers. She did window displays for famous restaurants and stores in NYC. However she wanted something more that would be different from other store windows...
