Brad Troy

I was born in Virginia in 1980 and raised in Pennsylvania. After college graduation I spent two years in upstate New York for graduate school before moving to the Washington, DC area where I've spent the past five years. I currently live in Bowie, MD a few miles from our nation's capital.

It was in upstate New York that my interest in photography sparked and rapidly grew. I bought my first camera and started to explore the landscape. Since then, I have had the opportunity to develop my photography skills and my interests. Photographing simple landscapes turned into finding unique scenes and strong light. Eventually I started to explore abstract perspectives and black/white work. The opportunity to live near so many appealing sites and travel to various destinations has allowed me to expand my galleries.

My work focuses on landscapes, nature, and cityscapes. I strive to create photographs with strong color/contrast and a unique perspective.

I have completed both Bachelor's & Master's degrees in fields unrelated to photography. I am a self-taught photographer that has improved his work through reading and the thoughtful critique of peers.,
