Sabeen Hashmi

Sabeen Hashmi, born in Gujranwala Pakistan. I have been painting since I was a teenager. I always had a knack to delve myself into the mixing colors theory. The kind of paintings I make include abstract art, textured paintings, modern art, contemporary paintings, abstract impressionism, islamic calligraphy. The driving forces for me to make paintings were my thoughts and visions. I am from a country where artist specially those who make paintings are not very much appreciated for their work. My thoughts and visions contain the rich side of my religion which I show through my calligraphy, the colors I choose to paint shows the nature my Islam has to offer; the peace it brings and the calmness it gives to our soul. My moto to paint is to express myself as well as a good side of my religion and country so that other artists in my country can also nourish and have hope that they are on the right path
