Pierre-Luc Poujol's work is rooted in an intimate dialogue with nature, and more specifically with trees. Each series he develops explores a facet of this profound relationship, ranging from texture to trace, from symbol to living medium. While formal approaches vary, all his creations share a common source: nature as an active presence, a partner in creation. For the artist, the tree is more than just a motif. It is language, memory and resilience. It embodies the link between heaven and earth, between the human gesture and the invisible forces of the world. In his first works in the “between the lines” series, we find the imprint of the plant, its eroded skin, its fragility revealed by dripping or coulure. Then, in her “Arborescences” series, the tree has become a tool: branches are transformed into brushes, ashes are mixed with paint, offering the artist a living material symbolizing transformation, memory and resilience. Each series - though distinct - bears witness to this quest for an organic language. Whether abstract territories inspired by bark, trees standing on the crest of figuration or vegetal impressions, all her works are traversed by a tension between ephemerality and permanence. They become fragments of ecosystems, sensitive testimonies to our link with the living.
