Born in Athens and later raised in the beautiful town of Trikala, Georgios Papageorgiou has been actively involved in street art culture since 1984, discovering little by little the “magic potential” of spray and graffiti. Mainly influenced by the old school of New York graffiti creators, which came to its end around 1981, he is considered to be one of the first artists of the specific genre in our country. During the 80’s he experimented with spray painting of large surfaces, mostly walls. While being a student at the Department of Early School Education of the University of Thessaly in Volos, he was the artist that the then Mayor Mr. Pitsioris Dimitrios entrusted with the implementation of large- dimension graffitis- spray murals on external walls of school complexes situated at the entrance, exit and centre of the city. Moreover, in 1997 he organised the first graffiti festival in Thessaly with participants from all over Greece. He himself participated with the group “t.e.s. crew” in the most important graffiti festivals “Meeting of Styles” and “Hall of Fame” in Athens and Thessaloniki, the latter being considered back at the days the Greek metropolis of graffiti art .
