I am compelled to paint abstract & realism. Loving both, my work has become a fusion of the two. I paint animals on an abstract background.

There is something meditative when I paint. It's like a dance between two worlds, heaven & earth that take me on a journey of the soul. My intent as an artist is to take the viewer along on this voyage with me in hopes of sharing this essence of serenity & love.

Classical music at Vanier College

Growing up I had two passions, music & the visual arts. It was a difficult choice after high school choosing what to study, the visual arts or music. I chose to study classical music at Vanier College. I sang opera during the week & I was a lead singer in a rock band on weekends. I played a few instruments such as, the violin, the flute and a little bit of piano.

Luckily the visual arts was always a big part of my life. I met my husband at a very young age and I felt an art career was better suited to married & family life.
I started drawing at a very young age. As a child I could colour and look at art books for hours. Our home was filled with art books such as, Rembrandt, Picasso, Renoir, Van Gogh, Toulouse Lautrec etc. My father & sister are also artists and art was a favourite subject around the house. As I got a bit older I explored different mediums such as pastels, coloured pencils, mixed media, sculpture and now I paint in oil. I am a self taught artist. Although all my complementary classes at Vanier College were fine art and throughout the years I have taken art classes to perfect my craft. I love being an artist! Less
