MY LONDON COLLECTION
Renos is a versatile artist, equally adept at painting seascapes and boats, as he is at painting and drawing the human form, iconic scenes and monuments, activity montages and townscapes. His works cover many British and other places that he visits and explores, including his beloved Lake District in Cumbria.
He lives and works in Barnet, north London.
He had a 30-year career as a retouching and general artist with the Daily Mail Group but his burning desire to return to his childhood love of painting started when he visited the majestic snow-covered Himalayas.
In the words of his friend Zayda Vallejo, M.Litt Founder and Executive Director of The HeartWell Institute Worcester, USA: "Renos could have been a banker, an accountant or in business (publishing, advertising, or printing) but from a very early age his heart resonated and opened to art in its many forms. After visiting Nepal in 1997, he was able to re-encounter that dormant wish to dedicate more time and energy to something that was so precious to him. ...
My qualifications in my early years in composition, graphic arts, and drawing began with St Martin's School of Art, followed by Sir John Cass School of Art and a three-year course in Graphic Arts at Ealing School of Art (a fellow student in my final year was the legendary Freddie Mercury of Queen). My studies culminated with an Advanced Typographic Design at the London College of Printing.
Thus MY LONDON BY RENOS was born. Well-established, much-loved and acclaimed, this celebration of Renos’ London, a journey which started around 2009, presents a visual work with some oil paintings of landmarks of London and its open spaces but mainly of unique drawings with ink, pencil and light colour washes on watercolour paper. In total, over 140 such works. 74 of them were exhibited in the most appropriate gallery in central London, the crypt of the famed landmark next to Trafalgar Square, St Martin-in-the-Fields with its near mediaeval atmosphere.
The exhibition which lasted for four weeks (June 23-July 20 2014) proved to be a huge success and due to its unique position, the gallery was at all times packed with visitors from all parts of the world. The exhibition of his London works was supported by www.pgdstrategy.com

“Thankfully, they loved my work (see quotes below), and so I decided to update my entry into the Saatchi online Gallery with a selection of these works. Place London and its history and monuments on your walls with either special prints or boxed canvases. Also browse my website and...
