My style is semi realistic. I love painting with oils, pastels and watercolours. My subjects are still life and portraits that I mostly paint live in my studio.

Its amazing to assemble/arrange simple objects like fruits, ceramics, drapery antique statues etc. and find a whole new story in them. It gives me a lot of happiness how ordinary things put together can create magic on canvas.

Sometimes for portraits, I work on several quick live sketches and capture the essence of light, shade, mood and character which I later enhance in my studio.

She believes painting portraits is not just to develop a likeness of the person u paint but to capture and translate the mood and character into work of art that’s timeless. It always amazes her how well she is able to form a virtual connection with her subjects invariably.

- Dec 2017, Participated in IWS India Biennale. Work has been selected by the Jury among thousands of International and Indian artists for exhibit.
