"What would love do?" Oil on canvas ~57/57cm (~22/22in) in diamond position. Painted on canvas 40/40cm (~16/16in) In this artwork I captured the process of making hard decisions from the level of unconditional love. And you may ask: “So why is there so much darkness? Love is so bright and light!”...

Website: annapikos. c o m Contact: annapikos.art (at) g m a i l. c o m Anna Pikos is a Polish painter currently based in the Netherlands. She studied Landscape Architecture in Warsaw, but her creative path has always been multidisciplinary. Before dedicating herself to painting, she explored a wide range of artistic mediums, including ceramics, digital and traditional illustration, pattern design, textile crafts, and more. Anna discovered her passion for painting in 2019. Since then, she has developed two primary bodies of work: abstract and surreal art. Her current focus lies in what she calls “surreal abstraction”—a visual language of organic, fluid shapes that appear to swirl, breathe, and come alive on the canvas. For Anna, the creative process is an inward journey rather than one inspired by the external world. Her art emerges from a deep connection to inner sensations—a quiet exploration of internal landscapes that feel at once familiar and otherworldly. Most of her paintings are unplanned. They are born from meditative states, where silence opens the door to vivid inner visions. These sensations—often too complex or subtle to express in words—flow naturally through her hands and onto the canvas. Once the process begins, it becomes almost automatic, intuitive. The final image remains a mystery until the very last drop of paint falls into place. Throughout her career in her all creative areas, she cooperated with contractors all over the world from China through Europe, to USA.
