Edward Love is a non-representational abstract painter whose work centers on the dynamic possibilities of color. While he explores various textures and patterns, his visual language is most distinctly expressed through the use of dots. These dots may appear to drift freely across the canvas or coalesce into sharp, graphic formations.
For Love, the dot is more than a mark; it’s a method of transformation. Each layer of dots builds upon the last, often concealing what came before, yet contributing to the depth and complexity of the final piece. This layering process allows color to interact in unexpected and captivating ways.
