Fabienne Jenny Jacquet is a Franco-British painter based in Deal, Kent, and London, UK. She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2008 with a fine art BA and her work is part of private and public collections in the UK, USA, Europe, China and Australia. Her paintings have been featured in the Evening Standard, the Financial Times, Brenda Magazine, Studio International, Made in Shoreditch Magazine and The Pomegranate London Magazine. In her work Fabienne explores the physicality of paint and the power of story-telling. She uses the rhythm of marks, the thickness of layers and the fluidity of oil paint to build textured images where fragility and strength cohabit. Her paintings often have a dark and melancholic side but are also injected with humour and a love of the surreal. She shows her work at the Don’t Walk Walk gallery in Deal and Lido Store gallery in Margate as well as taking part in group shows across the UK.
