Jeremy Francis Bell

The focus of my exploration as a creator are the things at the very core of the human condition. Storytelling; exploring places we occupy, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - individually and as a whole.

While mainly focusing storytelling through narrative painting, I fully embrace the idea of a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to creating my work. Delving into filmmaking is also of great interest and I currently have several ideas in development for larger productions.

My formal education began with a BFA from The University of Hartford, graduating with honors. Followed by a 6 year period of working at the Yale University Art Gallery and taking graduate classes at Yale to further my studies. From there I apprenticed under painter Odd Nerdrum in Europe. Upon my return, I settled in New York City to pursue a career in the arts full time and taking part in workshops under teachers such as Vincent Desiderio at the New York Academy of Art.
