Little Birdhouse Arts Organisation

My name is LIZ TAYLOR and I am director of Little Birdhouse Art Organisation. I am also Artist-In-Residence at Chester Art Centre on Northgate Street in the centre of the beautiful city of Chester.
My studio looks out over the Roman city of Chester in the North of England and I spend my days creating beautiful art, chatting to visitors and fellow artists that enjoy popping into my studio for a quick chat and catch up.
My work is of a theatrical nature; I enjoy creating work using collage, acrylics and making the ordinary into the extraordinary with recycled paper, card and cardboard. My work has a 3 dimensional feel and is multi-layered with colour and texture.

I actually trained at The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, England. For over 20 years I was a professional actor and director. However, I also thoroughly enjoyed my visual art. In 2017 I decided to hang up my touring shoes, and don my artist smock to concentrate solely on my own work.
In February of this year, I moved into Chester Art Centre, and it is here that I have found my roots.
