Dear friends of art, i am glad and thank you for visiting my profile. My road to art was a little bit complicated and evolved in different stages. My first nice painting was done when I was fifteen years old, without any art educational background. I went to a medical school. My second attempt was at the age of twenty five, when my husband gave me courage to subscribe myself for the art school of Václav Hollar. I did a study painting which was as part of the entrance examination. The second part was an exam which I passed and got accepted. They were ninety four candidates and only eighteen got accepted. Up to today i am still very honored that I was one of them. Unfortunately I needed to leave the art school because I was unable to manage it with my pregnancy. It is sad for me up to day. Another try to get back to painting came up after my husband died, and I under the pain of the loss and future complications related to it, I could not sleep at night. I found my husbands oil colours, and brushes and so I tried to paint again. It was a very nice feeling, and a kind touch on my soul. I think that thanks to the paintings I started to work normally again. But the life of an artist is not easy and simple, and the family can not survive with the financiation of paintings. And so I started to dedicate myself to economics, orderly household. Now, the kids have graduated from high school, and are adults and i am telling myself, that it is my time, that I can have a hobby too, which warms my heart and pleasures the eyes. My paintings are not perfect, but they are painted with love and so i believe, they will share the love even with You… and this is what it is all about… Enjoy your stay wishes Janka Aresu
