Ms. Rashmi Pitre has her paintings exhibited in India, Canada and the United States.
Themes on Nature, spirituality and life are usually seen in her work. Her paintings are mostly abstracts and semi-abstracts.

Rashmi Pitre passed the Entrance Examination of Sir J.J. SCHOOL OF ART in the year 2004. However, She studied ANCIENT INDIAN CULTURE (Philosophy) from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai - B.A. with Hons. Degree.
and has a Diploma in Original Philosophy of Buddhism from K.J. Somaiya Institute of Religious Studies, Mumbai.
She has also studied the Ancient Indian Language used on inscriptions and in Caves known as ‘ Brahmi ‘.
AWARDS--
Received 15 times Best Actress Prizes in top State and National competitions for her Acting in Theatre Dramas.
Many prizes including first prizes and Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals in State and National level Drawing Competitions since School days.

-- April 2017– The MAYOR OF MUMBAI’s Government AWARD for unique Contribution in the field of Art awarded by the Mayor Mr. Vishwanath Mahadeshwar ji and Mrs. Rashmi Tai Thackeray ji at the Mayor’s Bungalow, Mumbai.

She has done more than 25 shows in India in Art Galleries like the Gallery Beyond, Fort, Cymroza Art Gallery, Breach Candy, Nehru Centre, Artist Centre, Pradarshak Art Gallery, Artist’s Centre, kalaghoda, Coomaraswamy hall, Moksh Art Gallery, The Leela Art Gallery, Leela Kempinski, Andheri east, etc .
Exhibitions including the INDIA ART FESTIVAL, and other exhibitions in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

In CANADA, Rashmi’s painting was selected for the poster of International Women’s Art Exhibition, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA during the time four of her paintings were exhibited. She did similar shows in Canada. Her paintings were also displayed at the Davis Art Gallery, WORCESTER, UNITED STATES.
