Rob Hunt

I was born and raised in Hertfordshire and now live in Cheddington, Buckinghamshire where I have my studio.
I studied Fine Art at Oxford Brookes where I achieved a 2:1 (Hons).
My creative process is rooted in capturing the beauty and magic of fleeting moments in nature. I am deeply inspired by the world around me—the rhythm of life, the seasons, the ever-changing flow of light and the vibrant energy that pulses through our interactions with nature and each other.
Every painting begins with a moment that speaks to me, and from there I take it on a journey. I let the light, mood, and composition guide me as each work evolves.
I work in oil paint, layering it with both brush and knife to create movement and energy. My use of bold, brilliant colours is intentional; they are meant to bring life to the canvas, infusing each piece with a sense of vibrancy and joy. The rhythm and flow of the paint mirror the rhythms I observe in nature. Light and composition play key roles in my work, guiding the viewer’s eye through the painting, encouraging them to explore every corner of the canvas, to fully engage with it.
