Sandra Daniel

Sandra Daniel graduated from Chelsea School of Art with a distinction in Printed Textiles and continued her studies in fine art whilst embarking on a number of commercial projects and commissions. Between 2003 - 2009 Sandra founded desertRose, an independent design company. In 2010 Sandra returned to college to study printmaking and is a member of the Printmakers Council, where she exhibits as part of their long established group shows.

I work intuitively which means there is always an element of experimentation. By working with the most simple and direct materials that are and have been commonly used in traditional printmaking methods I explore shape, texture and colour to arrive at strong and lucid images. Taking risks whilst printing is part of a playfulness that I consider to be an important element of my work.
