My artwork is a collage of sensory and cultural elements I have encountered through visual creation. Through a realm inhabited by "quirky-cute" beings, I transform these inspirations into a slightly humorous, unexpected universe. Deeply influenced by classical Eastern painting techniques such as Ukiyo-e, my work relies on precise, commanding linework rather than three-dimensional shading to separate the subject from its environment. This flat aesthetic—a traditional approach that directly shaped modern manga and anime cultures—is combined with a bold, distinct harmony of vibrant colors. Designed without perspective on a flat screen, this realm remains intentionally incomplete on its own; it is ultimately brought to life through the imaginative gaze of the viewer.
After completing my graduate studies at Kyoto City University of Arts (KCUA), the oldest public art university in Japan, I have built a diverse career spanning fine art, illustration, graphic design, and web design.
