Douglas Deveny

I love simple design and enjoy exploring the spectacle of simplicity. Even the simplest of things can speak with substance, depth and feeling. So much satisfaction comes from constructing my unique surfaces of implied texture and patina, which ultimately draw the viewer in to visit, examine and explore. 



My works are personal sanctuaries, influenced by the needful refuge that I find in music and lyric. These are the places I experience while I vanish under the cloak of music.

I have attended The Art Institute of Atlanta, Atlanta, GA; Savannah College of Art and Design, Savanna, GA; and Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven, CT.
