Robert Truscott

Full time sculptor . I trained in Winchester School Of Art then the Russian Academy of Arts in St Petersburg. Whilst in Russia i had the oportunity to work with the inheritors of the ir native monument tradition and humanist ideals. Proffessors Sveshnikov and Karnaev in particular influenced my evolving style.
I work from life when possible. my maquettes often lean away from Realism towards Expressionism. Particularly interested in sculpting military subjects from history alongside ballet and equestrian. I am Based at the moment In Winchester ,UK.

My works number in the collections of Bernie Ecclestone, Jim Mellon and Nicholas Lyndhurst.

Threadneedle Prize 2012 ; visitors choice award with fifteen figure assembly representing Prisoners of War after the battle of Stalingrad.
