Martinus Sumbaji

I was born in 1973 in Tanggamus, a province on the southernmost island of Sumatra. Painting for me is a journey of imagination in my head. I travel and adventure according to my feelings and thoughts at the time, therefore I do not limit certain themes, and I describe them with expressions that are sometimes full of emotion in spontaneous lines and colors. And for so long adventuring in the limitations of life, the twists and turns of struggle in various places and professions, now I am stranded on the island of Bali

Self-taught. For me, art is the language of taste through lines and colors.
