Bianca Paraschiv (b. 1998) is an emerging artist who expresses her deep artistic vision through painting and graphic arts. A graduate of the National University of Arts in Bucharest, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Painting in 2020 and continued with a Master’s in “Strategies of Plastic Representation in Painting” (2022). A member of the Romanian Union of Fine Artists (UAP Romania), Bianca has carved out a distinctive presence in the contemporary art scene. Her artistic discipline was shaped from an early age through three years of piano studies, followed by six years of ballet in her adolescence—experiences that cultivated her deep understanding of movement, form, and precision. These influences are evident in the compositional balance and expressive fluidity of her works, where each brushstroke seems to echo the grace and control once required on stage. To date, her works have been showcased in approximately 70 group exhibitions, in prestigious galleries and museums across Romania and abroad, including art salons, biennials, art fairs, and large-scale international competitions. She has also held three solo exhibitions, each adding a new dimension to her artistic universe. A defining moment in her career is her selection to represent Romania at World Expo Osaka 2025, within the Romanian Pavilion. This prestigious international exhibition brings together outstanding contemporary artists from around the world, promoting innovation and creative exploration across disciplines. The World Expo is a global event that reflects nations’ achievements in fields such as technology, culture, and art, and the 2025 edition’s theme — “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” — deeply resonates with Bianca’s artistic approach. Her participation underscores the essential role she plays in promoting Romanian contemporary art on an international stage. In the same year, Bianca Paraschiv was also selected to join the Romanian Pavilion team at the London Design Biennale, hosted by Somerset House, London—an event bringing together creatives from over 40 countries, exploring design as a medium for cultural exchange and social innovation. Additionally, in 2020, she participated with a work in World Expo 2020 Dubai, further consolidating her global artistic presence from the early years of her career. Her artistic exploration is strongly influenced by philosophy, psychology, architecture, and human anatomy, naturally blending graphic art with painting.
