Amylee Paris

My art is grounded in a vibrant and colourful figurative approach, where material, pattern and emotion are central. My work draws on both classical and contemporary influences, with a particular emphasis on the floral world. My painting is defined by an in-depth exploration of material and texture: confident brushstrokes, raised motifs, application of pure acrylic colour, and at times the use of iridescent or metallic paper collages, as well as references to Kintsugi, the Japanese philosophy that embraces cracks and imperfections rather than concealing them. Through my paintings, I want to evoke a strong emotional resonance, creating an immediate and sensitive presence that may take on a meditative quality
