Danielle Poling

My art is bold, simplified and emotional. My paintings express feelings of nostaglia for the past, and hopeful daydreams for the future. I paint abstracted landscapes, flowers and religious images like hazy, reconstructed memories.
My process involves pouring, spraying and brushing paint. I coat many of my paintings with clear polymer resin, that has the look and feel of melted glass. This choice is both aesthetic and metaphorical.
Classroom teaching, world travel and wildereness expeditions have both humbled me and given me courage. We are all connected. We each have a part to play.
