Darya Shulyanskaya is a contemporary artist working in watercolor on cotton paper. Self-taught, she has developed her own artistic language, which combines decorative color saturation, attention to the plasticity of the female body, and an interest in space as an emotional environment.
Having received a degree in sociology, the artist brings her research perspective to the visual arts. Her works can be seen as observations of social states—youth, falling in love, inner focus, moments of transition and personal transformation. However, instead of analytical distance, she chooses a poetic approach to imagery: the social is experienced through the individual and the physical.
At the center of the artist's artistic expression is the female figure, inscribed in rich decorative landscapes. Flowers, water, architectural motifs, and urban spaces become full participants in the composition rather than a backdrop. They enhance the subject's emotional state, forming the symbolic field of the work.
She participated in the online exhibition "Anthropologie" by Artfully Walls.
