Sarah Scotchman

Sarah Scotchman was born in Chelmsford in 1987 and has always been creative and loved the arts. After completing her Fine Art studies at Central Saint Martins, London, Sarah Scotchman now creates fine art pieces that capture the sensuality and elegance of the female form.Sarah produces a range of work from striking paintings to soft detailed drawings. Her chosen media are pencil on paper, oil and acrylic on canvas and plaster of Paris. Sarah Scotchman is a resident artist at Interior Angle, art and design gallery, Chelmsford.Sarah takes influence and inspiration from artists such as Ray Leaning, Willi Kissimer, Van Hove and Rodin. She has also trained under various artists including Chris Christoforou, Ray Leaning and Ken Clarke.Sarah has modelled for several years, which has been complimentary to her artistic portfolio, providing reference shots for her self-portraits. Working together with her partner Chris Sadler, a photographer, she is able to capture her initial ideas and poses in photographic form, giving her an image from which to start a piece.
