Csaba Szegedi

Csaba Szegedi has been exhibiting internationally since 1985, with regular solo shows in Hungary and abroad, and participation in numerous group exhibitions across the globe. His artworks are held in prestigious public collections and private homes worldwide—from the USA to China, Finland to New Zealand.

Born in Hungary, he developed an unwavering passion for drawing and painting from early childhood. He studied graphics at the High School of Fine and Applied Arts (1974–1978), followed by award-winning studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest (1981–1988). After an exploratory early period seeking his unique visual language, he received a DAAD scholarship and artist residency at the historic Atelierhaus Worpswede in Germany, later settling for a time in Munich. His artistic achievements have since been recognized with numerous prizes, awards, and further residencies at renowned institutions, including the Hungarian Academy in Rome.

He currently lives in Velence, Hungary, and serves as a professor at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest.
