Tiina Vainio

I am a painter and graphic artist. From recent orders I have also created decors, installations and public artwork.

Most of my artwork is related to nature and the environment where we live. An example of a theme of my art would be plant growth or the developmental cycle of a butterfly.

My art also covers difficult issues such as the continuous changing of landscapes and nature's ability to adapt to all the changes.

I believe in the power of beaty so we can discuss challenging topics in a simpler way. As an artist, I see beaty almost everywhere I look. For instance beauty can be found in a painting of an excavator at a gravel pit.

I have studied art in Turku Art School/ Turku University of Applied Scienses and in Taideteollinen korkeakoulu (nowadays Aalto University).
