Barbara Gulbinowicz

.My name is Barbara Gulbinowicz. I was born in 1958 in a small town in Lower Silesia. The green hills swayed me. I currently live in Wroclaw - a meeting place. Here I studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of prof. Józef Hałas - diploma in 1988. He uses techniques: oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed techniques. I expect truth and beauty from the way of painting. Finding manifestations of these attributes in the world around me, I fix them with a brush with the help of color, light, texture. I appreciate the workshop, proficiency and freedom of a painting gesture. Each of my realistic picture contains a symbolic element and besides a purely aesthetic layer, it has a spirituality led to the strengthening of life - its value, richness and joy. As a painter, I perceive my mission. At the same time, my paintings and songs that I compose and make at my vernissages paint my own portrait against the background of the internal landscape - my own world, which I am happy to share with others.

Barbara Gulbinowicz studied in Art Institute in Wrocław in 1983 – 1988, in the Department of Painting, Graphics and Sculpture, in the atelier of prof. Józef Hałas. She graduated in 1988. She paints in different techniques: oil, acryl, pastel, watercolours, mixed and own techniques.
In her artistic work there are many individual exhibitions in Wrocław and in other towns in Poland. Her Paintings are Presented in many galleries and privet collections in whole country and abroad.
She writes poems, short stories and composes songs.
Special Place in her art is awarded to acryl on cartoon. This way she easily shows phenomenal, hyperimpressionist subjects. In a very special way she gives modern signs to traditional showing painting. Movement and light, strength of colour, contrast and clarity of painting gesture – here are her artistic means, which make artist’s vision strong.
