A work of art should express myself; the observer should reflect on the unresolved mystery of love. Love is an inherently enigmatic phenomenon, and there is no theoretical approach to unravel its riddle. However, a work of art has the ability to describe the secret of love in greater detail. The me...

I am a seeker: I search for new concepts, interdisciplinary theories, new forms and methods. Yet, despite everything, it is the ideas that find me. A thinker once said that an idea sometimes behaves like a living being. I wholeheartedly agree. Sometimes, ideas manifest subtly - quietly and gently, expectantly and empathetically. And then there are moments when ideas receive a name, become impatient, even aggressive, and refuse to let me go until I give them the space to come to life on a canvas. Like many artists, I draw inspiration from various aspects of life. For me, art is a force that shapes cultural processes. I engage with part of my work for an extended amount of time. More than half of the creative process is then determined by the artwork itself - paradoxical as that may sound. To put it in Jackson Pollock’s words: Perhaps the source of art is the unconscious. "Art means, learning to see," R. M. Rilke once wrote. Learning to see throughout a lifetime. Learning to see means finding the best possible way to fully trust sensory perception, to rediscover the allure of colors and forms again and again. Art, it is often said, is the unity of knowledge and skill. The fundamental principle of my art is the integration of various aspects of human existence. Since art is also a process of becoming aware, it emerges from inner contradictions. Friedrich Dürrenmatt once put it aptly when he said that art captures the moment in which something transforms into something else. The act of painting can be seen as a mystical practice. Painting allows us to make the other within ourselves tangible. My artworks are part of private collections based in Germany and the Republic of Kosovo.
