In my practice, I begin with images or videos that capture my attention—sometimes photographs I take with my phone, sometimes fragments sourced from the internet, television, or social media. These visual materials serve as starting points, often undergoing playful and intuitive transformations. I alter colours, add or remove elements, and sometimes push the imagery into abstraction and complexity. Other times, I choose to keep things simple and direct. Recurring themes in my work include landscape, military pollution, personal history, and nostalgia. Through these lenses, I explore how memories and events can be looked at, questioned, documented, expanded, and reformed. I am particularly interested in slowing down the act of looking and encouraging a more reflective, layered engagement with images and narratives. My practice is deliberately non-uniform and multidisciplinary. I move fluidly across painting, video, photography, drawing, music, and animation—embracing different genres, styles, and techniques. This freedom allows me to explore ideas in a way that is intuitive and responsive, rather than bound to a single medium or approach. Born and raised in Sardinia (Italy), I lived in Rome before relocating to London, where I currently live and work. I graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art in 2008.
