Clayton Lee

John Clayton Lee is a painter, photographer, and filmmaker from Knoxville, Tennessee. He attended the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore for filmmaking.

Select clients and editorials include Dazed & Confused, The Line, Need Supply, Khaite, Fucking Young, Coeval, Second Layer, and Everlane.

- The only reality that I can conceive is disparate and fragmented, where sequences are not continuous so much as just fleeting, moments of concern are not only the most promising but instead, those nuances in-between are what is brought to the forefront. As an artist and image-maker, I seek to encounter and transcend the boundaries of understanding to create something beyond my own limitations.
