Eloisa Ibarra

1968
Born in Uruguay.
Lives and works in Montevideo
My work reflects my personal concerns and interests, the questions I ask myself on a variety of topics, including literature and language, archeology and myths or art and technology, among others, that merge and give rise to projects that demand contemplation while simultaneously questioning significances and signifiers.
I use traditional techniques like painting, wood and metal engraving, and sculpture, combined with digital graphic design and interventions on found objects, combining the technical and visual resources I consider most appropriate when embarking on each project.
